Lawless's March Madness! This was a BLAST! With a visit from our friend Andy at Texas Roadhouse, Miss Lawless's Bulldogs faced off in a friendly basketball math review, enjoyed a visit from Mrs. Wilson who read them a final book before determining the winner of their book bracket! So much fun, all in one classroom!

Transportation Update, Poland School bus with Caution sign

This afternoon, Bus #1 was involved in a traffic accident during the PSHS/Middle School portion of the afternoon drop-off procedure. No students were immediately injured/harmed by the accident. The bus contained Poland Seminary High School students as they were en route to pick up the middle school students at Poland Middle School. Bus #1 riders were evaluated by local officials to ensure their safety. Then, the riders were relocated to another bus route to resume drop-off procedures under transportation emergency protocols. With the influx of traffic at the impacted area, expect delays in the afternoon drop-off procedures for all bus routes this afternoon.

Happy National 3rd Grader Day?! (3/3) We just learned today was a special day for McKinley's creative third grade class! So today, we made... 3RD GRADE: THE MOVIE! Bulldogs were given a challenge to produce a short movie in 15 minutes, and yes... there was a little twist: include a random prop! Watch these content-creating geniuses at work!

Hello friends! It’s Mrs. Wilson, your school literacy coach. As you know, this week is Right to Read Week at McKinley Elementary. Right to Read Week, also known as Read Across America Week, was launched by the National Education Association in 1998 to encourage children to read, and centers around Dr. Seuss’ birthday, which is March 2nd. I wanted to share a special message about why reading is so important to me in honor of Right to Read Week!
